I have the medium size Recent Releases widget in a stack on my first Home screen, giving me a quick way to find something new to try and the Upcoming Releases medium-size widget alongside upcoming widgets from Picky and Launcher on a dedicated music widget page. There are a couple of other changes that have been made in.
Macs have a lot of unique applications out of the box. One of these is called Dashboard, which is an application that basically goes over your desktop and displays widgets. These widgets can serve all kinds of purposes, from being a useful and convenient, quick calculator to a widget that displays The Simpsons quotes (known as HomerQuotes, now discontinued). By default, there are only four widgets that appear on your Dashboard. Adding more of these widgets is certainly not difficult, and can serve to improve productivity or offset stress.
Mar 31, 2011 Scroll down the website until you reach the Widget Browser. In the categories, select Just For Fun, then InterfaceLift Wallpapers. Click the Download button on the right. Go into your Downloads.
First, you want to click on the Dashboard icon. If you’ve got no idea what that is, you can see it highlighted in the image above.
Press the button with the + at the bottom left of the Dashboard screen.
A selection of other widgets will appear from the bottom of the screen. These are widgets you can pick from and add by default. In order to download and install more other ones, click Manage Widgets.
When the Manage Widgets dialog box pops up, click the More Widgets Mac os x theme for ubuntu 16.04. button at the bottom.
This should prompt your default browser to take you to the Dashboard Widgets website. There are a huge amount of perfectly compatible widgets on this website. In this tutorial, I’ll be downloading the InterfaceLift Wallpaper widget.
Scroll down the website until you reach the Widget Browser. In the categories, select Just For Fun, then InterfaceLift Wallpapers. Click the Download button on the right.
Go into your Downloads folder, or find the recently downloaded InterfaceLiftWallpapers1.0.zip folder in your Downloads stack. Click it to extract it.
The file should be extracted, with the Dashboard icon next to it. Simply double click it to run.
Download New Widgets Mac
Dashboard will confirm that you want to install the InterfaceLift widget. Click Install to finalize the installation.
This widget will appear on your Dashboard. Use the left and right arrows at the bottom of the widget to navigate between pictures. If you find one you love, click on the picture and it will take you to the InterfaceLift website, where you can download the image and set it as your wallpaper.
Installing new widgets isn’t as hard as it seems! Neither is customizing your desktop, learning iCal shortcuts, or installing new fonts on your Mac. Have fun!

Widgets are small mini-applications designed to perform tasks that we otherwise perform by visiting web pages. For instance, instead of opening Safari and going to a weather website, you can access the weather-widget with a single click of your mouse.

Open Dashboard
In order to open Dashboard, just click it’s icon in the dock.

Widgets are small applications used to perform smaller tasks or show data. Since they are programmed the same way as websites are it is easy for web developers to create widgets that display information from their websites.
Show/hide widgets
If you look at the lower left corner of Dashboard, you will see a plus button. If you click it, a bar containing all installed widgets will appear. From this bar, just drag the applications that you wish to use onto the Dashboard space.
If you wish to hide a widget, hold down the alt key and put the cursor over the widget. A button looking like a cross will appear in the widget’s upper left corner. Click it and the widget disappears. If you wish to use it again, just click the plus button in the lower left corner again.

Changing widget settings
Most widgets have some settings. When you put the cursor over a widget, a small i-symbol will appear somewhere on the widget (usually the lower right corner). Click this and the widget will flip over and settings will appear.
Close Dashboard
If you wish to close Dashboard, press the esc button or click the desktop but not on a widget. The widgets will disappear and the desktop will be as bright as always.

Install downloaded widgets
It’s silly really. Just click the download button at a web page that offers a widget. When the widget is downloaded, your Mac will simply ask you if you wish to install the widget or not.
Uninstall the widget
If you wish to uninstall a widget, open another widget called “Widgets”. Especially for baby ear thermometer user manual. From that one, you can delete others by pressing the minus next to their name.
